Wrist bands are being sold by the Baca County Fairboard for $20 for the following events: Wednesday evening entertainment, KPRA Rodeo on Thursday evening, Ranch Rodeo on Friday evening and the Demolition Derby on Saturday evening. Each event if attended is $6.00 each. If you buy a wrist band before the Wednesday evening entertainment, you will save $4.00 and have a chance in the drawing for $100 for early wrist band sales. Wrist bands can be purchased at the Baca County Extension Office, Baca County Library or any Fairboard member.

Display boards measuring 3' x 4' for projects are available for sale at the Extension Office for $5.00 each.

Record Book covers are available for sale at the Extension Office for $2.50 each.

The Fair Office will be in the south 1/3 of the Blue Building with the entrance on the east side.

Open exhibits of quilts, food, horticulture and crops will be in the north 2/3 of the Blue Building with an entrance on the north end.

Interviews and displaying of the 4-H projects will be in the new Minnick Building.

This year the Parade of Champions will not take place after the Buyers Meal. The champions will be on a float in the parade on Saturday.

The Rodeo and Demolition Derby Office will be in the "old" Fair Office. Prize money can be picked up at the windows under the Grandstand. This will also be the place where tickets for the inflatables and rides are sold.

Grand and Reserve Champions of each species: beef, swine, goat, sheep, horse (Mare & Gelding), poultry and rabbit will required to place their animals in a special "Royalty Row" in the Beef Barn by 10:00 AM on Saturday, August 7. Wood shavings will be provided as well as a sign where the exhibitor card will need to be attached. Exhibitors will be required to feed, water, clean and totally care for the animals. Animals must be removed at 6:00 PM. See the Fair Office with questions or more details.

100 Years of 4-H is being celebrated this year.

Pictures of the former Miss Baca County queens are on display at the Baca County Library until after the fair.

Colorado State Fair is August 26 - September 6, 2010.
